Avocado & Tomatoes Soy Sauce | 아보카도 장
Pronounced: Avocado Jang
What: Avocado and Grape Tomatoes marinated in a soy sauce mixture. A banchan (side dish) to be eaten with other foods.
Taste: The buttery avocado and acidity of the grape tomatoes is marinated in a sweet yet savory soy sauce mixture. It has a very umami taste with a great texture that compliments a bowl of rice very well!
How It’s Made: Add all ingredients and submerge in soy sauce mixture. Let it marinate for 6-8 hours in the refrigerator.
What to Serve it With: Warm white rice, fried egg, kimchi, and roasted seaweed is our go-to. It tastes SO good with kimchi. But this is a side dish that will compliment many meals. Don’t limit yourself to our go-to and try it with some Korean dishes and other meals.
Notes & Tips:
You can also add in red onions and slices of lime! We keep it pretty simple though with just avocado and tomatoes.
As long as the ratio is intact, you can easily adjust the recipe to the serving size you want. For example, just want to use 1 avocado and a handful of grape tomatoes? No problem. Just make sure the entire avocado and tomatoes slices are submerged in the marinate.
