Hey. Thanks for checking out ahnest kitchen. I’m here to collect all of my Mom’s recipes. She’s one hell of a cook. As a former restaurant owner, all of her recipes are authentic, delicious, and leave you wanting more. It’s as Korean-Korean as it gets. And as my Mom always said:
Life’s too short to be afraid of MSG. Try new things. Don’t marry someone who can’t eat well.
The person behind the recipes: Nam soon Ahn
My mom’s name is Nam Soon Ahn. She was born and raised in Korea to one of the best, well-known home cooks in Incheon (my Grandma).
My Mom always tells me that her (that is, my Mom) cooking is nothing compared to my Grandma’s. She learned a lot from my Grandma and moved to the states in the 1990s. Once she found her way to make a living, she opened her own noodle restaurant for about 10 years before selling the business.
Now, she is teaching me all her secrets and passing down her recipes to me.

I’m the daughter of Nam Soon Ahn. My sole purpose is to collect and share my Mom’s recipes. I don’t want to keep them just for myself, so I’m collecting them here on ahnest kitchen. I also share my thoughts some times. I try to be as candid and honest as possible. Hence the name, ahnest kitchen. I hope you enjoy my Mom’s recipes. And my thoughts too.
